Privacy Policy
Everstone Lights supplies permanent lighting products to installers, contractors and homeowners across Canada and the United States. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Order requests. When you send an order request we receive your name, phone number and email address, the products, options and quantities in your request with the estimated total, and, if you add them, your company name, shipping address and notes.
- Messages sent through the contact form. Your name, phone number and message, and your company and email address if you add them.
- Your order request before you send it. The products you add are kept in your own browser so they stay there as you move between pages. They reach us only when you send the request, or when you choose to send it on WhatsApp.
- Website chat. The chat on this site is run by HighLevel (LeadConnector), the customer messaging service we use. Messages you send, and any name, phone number or email address you give, are stored in our HighLevel account so we can reply. Some replies may be automated; a person on our team can take over the conversation.
- Calls, emails and WhatsApp. If you contact us directly we receive the details you give us, such as your phone number, email address and the content of your message.
- Technical information. Our website host records standard server information such as IP address, browser type and the time of each visit.
What we do not collect
- Your photo in the Try it tool. The photo stays on your device. It is not uploaded to us or stored by us. Pictures you save from the tool carry the Everstone Lights mark.
How we use it
- To reply to your messages and questions.
- To confirm your order, its price and shipping, send the invoice and supply the products you order.
- To keep the website working and secure.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to a marketing list without your consent.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that help us run the business, and only as far as they need it:
- Our website host, which also processes order requests and contact form submissions.
- HighLevel (LeadConnector), which runs the website chat and stores chat conversations for us.
- Our email provider, which delivers form submissions and messages to us.
- WhatsApp, when you choose to message us there. WhatsApp handles that conversation under its own privacy policy.
We may also disclose information when the law requires it.
Where it is stored
Some of these providers store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information held there is subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to supply and support your orders, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records. After that we delete it.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The website chat, run by HighLevel, may store small files or identifiers in your browser so a conversation continues as you move between pages. The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to download them and Google receives your IP address when it does. If we add analytics or other tracking later, we will update this policy first.
How we protect it
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections to this website and limiting access to the people who need it to serve you.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete your information, or stop using it, where the law allows.
To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will reply within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
